WHY DID WE CHOOSE TO PRODUCE ORGANIC FOOD AND WHAT ORGANIC FOOD IS?
For most of the people, “organic” means food produced without pesticides or fertilizers. That is just a part of the truth, another is that behind that there is a reason on our side, and side of our customers why they buy organic products - because they believe that “the better for me, the better for the planet”.
To call the whole process organic, it has to meet very strict and a number of legally defined procedures, and their application must be continuous. The whole process is monitored by certified bodies that follows organic production, in practice in applying all standards in daily work and administratively through strict stream of documents. Control procedure is very strict with the total ban on the use of any artificial chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and an absolute ban on genetically modified seeds and organisms. In addition, organic farming encourages rotation of crops in reduced processing and soil conversion. This rotation is of vital importance for soil health and actively encourages natural methods od pest control. This in turn, can help promoting greater biodiversity and soil fertility. Regarding the keeping of animals and the production of animal origin goods, the prescribed requirements by the certification body require a greater living space and better conditions for keeping the animals, while respecting their natural behavior, which, at the end, gives satisfied animals.

Olda group strongly believes that the future of agriculture is the application of agroecological principles that maintain and improve the fertility of the soil, because only such a soil can be left to those who will inherit our fertile land. We believe that every region has its own specificities that should be felt in the food coming from that area. We believe in protection of native species of animals and their return to our ecosystem, as well as old and rare varieties of grains. They should be preserved, returned in use and made available to wider circle of growers.
We strongly believe in self-sustainability, environmental protection and animal welfare.
Our goal is to provide the best goods from our production, to people who desire good health and delicious food.
The cultivation of old crops with the application of modern agroecological principles gives plants that are larger, with robust root systems and resistant to drought. By returning them to our fields, we reduce the need for additional chemical fertilization and protection and therefore there is no environmental damage.
